We got blue slip over the translation done in the USA. Apparently, the Chinese English translation done in the USA is not accepted in Guangzhou. NVC did not have any problem with them. We will re do the birth certificate translation tomorrow and send it over. Does anyone know the turnaround for us getting the visa. The visa officer was polite and said they are ready to give the visa to her once receive this translation done in China. Does anyone know what type of turnaround I should expect. I hoping like 2 to 4 weeks turnaround.

it sorta depends on 'how you are sending it in'

if she has a call in letter with the blue slip response, she can show up, drop off. Visa issuance can be done with a week, if this is the case.

if she only has the blue slip, then she'll need to mail it in, and it's really unknown variables between the point of her hand to a VO's eyeballs, dealing with time.. (getting just a blue slip is common, don't sweat abscence of call in letter)

I think will be easy 'overcome' but as for time, unknown.

I will post my review later this weekend. The visa officer told her we are ready to give you visa your case is complete, we just need this paper notarized and translated in China. We are back in Beijing today. We should get this done today and mail it back. After they approve the visa, I assume we will receive an email or mail notification. We had so many things that could cause a red flag so I was expecting something. Front loading works really well.

Sorry to hear the blue slip caused by wrong place about translation. Hope it is the only reason why a blue slip. After you mail right birth certificate, I think you may need to wait for two weeks to process.

NVC just collects documents and Guangzhou reviews and judges.

Actually your story does ring an alert for who think Guangzhou will accept notarized and translated Chinese documents done in US.

Yes, you have paid all. If she gets pink and chooses mailing visa to her, she needs to pay EMS mailing fee (RMB80).

We sent all the new whitebooks and the embassy received them on Friday June 17. I received email saying they received our documents to overcome our blue slip on June 22 and our case is in the queue for processing. I am hoping next week we receive the call in letter.
