:D Hi VJ members, just introducing ourselves; Joe and I have been scouring this site for the past couple of months and only just joined. It has been the source of much comfort as well as many new fears. Before we came across this site though, we were at our wits end. All we wanted was a date, not knowing almost became worse than the wait. Tomorrow is our 6 month mark of waiting for our "NOA2," which are very hopeful for. We had no idea that this would be such an arduous process and had actually planned for me to move back with him in January already, not so lucky. (All very worth it to be with the most perfect man in the world for me). Anyhow, just wanted to say thank you for the wealth of information that's provided here, I would recommend joining VJ to anyone undertaking this journey. Good luck to us all!

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

2011 March 31 - Sent off Naturalization pkg overnight to Texas

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.

Hello I am new to this page as well me and my fiance were previously married and now re engaged and wanting to bring our family together, should have done this a long time ago, we all make mistakes, please any advice would be helpful, we have a 5 year old daughter and I am a US citizen and he is on a work visa in Cape Town South Africa, we filed and now have our receipt number this was done June 13th . So patiently waiting, driving me crazy as I am worried I am not working but I have a sponsor to help us. I will be returning to work later on this year as I am up for a operation, Been on SSDI for 3 years now but will be returning to work after surgery. We need this to work any advice would be helpful, Thank You all for being here four us.
