hi guys. i have another question. so i'm trying to put together my husband's AOS package together and i stumbled across the I-693 part. My question is, since my husband got his medical done before POE here in the states 6 months ago, i assume his vaccinations are all still current. Also, i'm a little confused about the I-693. As i've read here on vj, some people didn't turn one in and others got away with not having an RFE. Also, what exactly is a transcribed medical result? I know we have to get it through a civil surgeon?? where can i get that done and how much? DO i really have to get it transcribed?? Please HELP!! thank u!!

Since you are from the Philippines too, I am going to go ahead and say you will probably need to have the I-693 done because most of the time SLEC does not complete the required vaccines.. It's not hard, remember the vaccination record that was given to us at the medical? Bring that to a civil surgeon and have him look at it to see if there are any vaccines missing, and then have him record it onto the I-693. Cost varies per doctor so call around and see who will charge the least for it, it can go anywhere from $15 to over $100. Another optional thing they may say you need is a TB skin test. :) I'm sure there are a lot of CS out there in SF who will know what to do. Goodluck on your AOS journey!

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

hmmm... My copy of the medical certificate was taken by the immigration officer in Detroit when I arrive last May 21 and all that was left was the CD from St.Luke's. Does this mean I have to undergo another medical? THanks for your help again.
