Hi,

We have submitted our Adjustment of Status package last May 14, 2011 and until today we haven't received any notice of receipt from the USCIS. Is this normal or should I start worrying? Please help. Thank you. God bless.

Yes. Did you send personal check? Have you tracked the package? Did they cash the check?

I have sent on May 16th, NOA1 May 23rd, Biometrics June 17th.

We have sent the package through USPS. Unfortunately, the staff said he had already printed a tag and can't make another for a delivery confirmation. We submitted the package to the Chicago Lockbox. Oh my, I should give them a call then. Thanks for the help.

Where did you send the package? Now I am freaking out! I've tried calling the USCIS unfortunately there's no operator that will take my call since it's past 8 PM already. Why is it that I haven't heard any notice from the USCIS?

To Chicago lockbox. Do not freak out. Did you track the package? Did they cash the check? If they did you are OK

I have just called the USCIS and they gave me a receipt number. When I checked the status online, it says it was rejected due to incorrect fees. I don't understand how much should be the fee for I-485 for me and my son and I have applied for I-131 and I-765 concurrent with the I-485.

Did you send the $985 for the I-485 + the $85 for the biometrics fee? For a total of $1070

Patience is required for this process.

Yes, it must be $1,070 OR $985. You can pay $85 later

I have sent a total f $1,705 that's $1,070 for me and $635 for my son. It's just crazy because I have submitted the package May 14 and it just appeared in their system recently June 8 that my application was rejected due to incorrect fees. It took them almost a month before they figured that the fees were incorrect?

Should the fee for my son who's applying for the adjustment of status be in a separate check? I'm confused what should be the amount of the check then if the fee includes me and my son (under 14 yrs old).

Yes - seperate checks for each application. They say that you can put the I485 & bio together which = 1070$. Other than that, should be individual checks.

One check should be just fine. The fees you mentioned are correct for you and a child under 14, so I am not sure what the problem could be.

I'm really confused what seemed to be the problem with the fees. And USCIS is prolonging the agony that we still have to wait another month to receive the Notice from them. Tried to call them yet they will just say wait for the notice to arrive and just follow what's indicated there. I've been so patient yet this is already driving me nuts!

I guess this might be the concern here since we have issued just one check with the total fees for my son and I. Hope we'll receive the notice soon so we could act on it immediately.
