]Hi there! I've read from one of the reviews of VJers (sharing their experience)in Manila Consulate that the consul asked for a CENOMAR during her interview.Do they really ask for it even you are already married? I passed my CENOMAR in the city hall because it was one of the requirements before I got married. I'm worried now because I don't have a copy of it and I can't get it anymore coz I was already registered as Married. HELP! :help:

it's CENMAR for married people. Same thing as the CENOMAR but it shows that you're married to someone instead of 'no marriage on file' thing. It's different from Marriage Certificate.

Technically CRS Form No.5 - Advisory on Marriages and CRS Form No. 4 Certificate of No Marriage 'Singleness' are not the same.

OP I have seen where the CO has asked the beneficiary of a CR-1/IR-1 for the Advisory on Marriages Cert. My wife had hers but never was ask to produce the certificate. I would have it on hand, look at it as another arrow in your quiver.

Before I got married, the cityhall asked for my CENOMAR and I can't get another copy of it from the NSO because I'm no longer single. I'll just pray that the CO will not ask for it my for CENOMAR.

You can get this one CRS Form No.5 - Advisory on Marriages

The confusion comes from people here on VJ referring to the Advisory on Marriages as CEMAR, CENMAR. etc. Please refer to the form as to what it is, OR call it an ADMAR.

And has nothing to do with the CO in the USEM referring to is as such!?!? Seriously that what they called it when asked for at my wife's interview.

I hope this helps since I just got mine earlier. I got my CENOMAR before and surrendered it when we applied for marriage license. My CENOMAR shows that I am single and there is no record on file found under my name when I first requested it from NSO (10 months ago). I've read a lot of feedback from Philippines Embassy that the CO asked for their CENOMAR even though they are already married. I went to NSO last week and requested for another CENOMAR, I paid 190 pesos and was asked to go back today (which is 7 days after I requested it). Now, my CENOMAR states that the record shows that I am married to (name of my husband) on (date of marriage). I know it doesn't make sense why a married woman like me should need a CENOMAR on the interview - but who cares? If that is what it takes for me to get my visa, why not get it? Only cost 190 pesos and free myself from worrying about it.

Exactly! The CO in the USEM call it CENOMAR that's why people here are saying CENOMAR as well. CO won't say, 'Do you have your Advisory on Marriages?'
