I have the longest I 130 petetion EVER.

Anyway, filed on Nov. 17th to London.

Processed in March according to USCIS website

Received notice March 30th-ish that we needed to provide additional affidavits supporting our relationship

Sent affidavits back to consulate first week in May

I contacted my local congressman's office, but they seemed to be confused because I didn't have a case number. I explained we haven't even reached that step in the process yet...

Today, June 7th, still no word from London.

What can I do? This is getting ridiculous.

I am right beside you and so are many others. My date is 11/15/10. I have done the same things you have done. Others have done even more and they are still in the same boat with us. It is frustrating. It is stressful. It is hurtful. But we have no control over this process. We can call and e-mail everyday if that makes us feel better, but I am not sure that it will make it get done any faster. I feel your pain.

NOA 1 November 15, 2010

NOA 2 August 25, 2011

Closed NVC Ocotber 11, 2011

Interview Date: January 12,2012

Thank you my wonderful God in Heaven.

Your case number is on the NOA1 you received.

Not what I wanted to hear, but I guess misery loves company! Did you also file in the UK?

It's only really started sinking in because my husband is on a visa waiver, and must leave on June 22nd, and with no more information on 1-130 (let alone an interveiw date!), I have no idea when we'll see each other again. I can take Leave Without Pay from work to visit him, but not ideal because I have a horse and dog that both require my daily care (not to mention a mortgage). AHH! Sorry, one of those days...

Your case number is on the NOA1 you received.

Now who feels dumb/dumber? I don't know what an NOA1 is?

When you file DCF, you don;t get NOA1 and don't have a case number, as everything is processed at the embassy. I think your only choice is to shell out money for the email code so London answers you with an update. I do know London is being very slow right now with interviews, but I do think you should have heard something by now.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

You can email London at uscis.london@dhs.gov

I got a response from them within24 hours. I read that someone else is in the same boat as you, waiting for their RFE to be processed. It is frustrating but hopefully you will hear something soon.

I filed in Jan and discovered last week that Rome is actually processing our petition. It really is a waiting game but hopefully you wont have to wait much longer. Added to the frustration is the fact that there are others who filed in Feb that are receiving approvals. Good luck

How do I go about doing this? Is this different from the uscis email? How much is the email code? Will they provide concreete info that the other email address won't?

Thanks!!

It's my understanding that London often/usually will not answer or only answer with a form email unless you provide that week's email code. You get it by calling the premium phone number they have. If you ask about it on the UK forum, they can give you a more detailed answer.

LOL!

So I sent an email yesterday to USCIS and got this response today:

Your I-130 was approved on June 7, 2011 and approval notice sent to you same day.

Coincidence? Anyway, very excited!

Now what?

Now you will receive a letter in the post in about 3 weeks with your case number on it. You can start calling the Embassy, if you want, in about 2 weeks to see if they have your case number yet (it takes about 2-3 weeks after approval for it to get into the system) so you don't have to wait for the letter.

IR-1 Timeline (DCF London)

15th Feb 2011 - Filed I-130 in London.

6th Apr 2011 - Sent letter requesting expedition of visa.

11th Apr 2011 - Received email approving request.

12th May 2011 - I-130 approved.

2nd June 2011 - Received case number via email. Booked medical.

3rd June 2011 - Sent forms DS-230, DS-2001 & cover letter today.

8th June 2011 - Medical Exam (£273.00 for medical & MMR/Tetanus injection)

11th July 2011 - Visa interview at 8am.

14th July 2011 - Visa in hand.

23rd July 2011 - Uniting my family today in San Antonio <3

11th Aug 2011 - Received 10yr Green Card in the mail
