I found a job that does not pay much. It pays minimum, plus the employer wants a 2-year commitment from me in writing. This part sounds pretty creepy to me. I know Texas is an employment at will state. Is such a contract enforceable? I know I can do way better than this but not having a job for so long is quite frustrating. Please advice. Should I take the offer or no? btw, I am in Austin,TX. :help:

I am not sure I would be willing to give them a 2 year commitment in writing. What if the employer is a jerk? Are they willing to give you a commitment in writing? That’s a lot to ask for from someone you are paying the minimum wage to. Will they give you an escape clause? Will they give you set pay raises? Will they give you set hours?
