The consulate is not a fun place for children.. IMO its much like if one were going to the hospital and the child were just being brought along to be there... IMO there is no need to have her endure it with you as they already likely have a pink waiting for you as long as the paperwork was all submitted correctly... I would not take my child there to sit and add anymore stress to the already stressful situation unless there was no other alternative... The already know about her in her file and can see photos of the family so why bring her?

You're probably right, no need to subject her to Saigon traffic. Hope you're also right about the pink part.
