Hi all,

I need to fill in the form DS-156 but it expired May 31, 2011. I don't want to fill this one in if it's expired. Any idea of when it will be updated? Also, does anyone know who to contact about updating the form? I have gone to their "Website Problem or Suggestion" page and have submitted a request for an updated version of the form on June 1st but they have not made any changes. Is there an actual number I could call?

Thanks!

Just use this one and ignore the expiration date. As long as they don't update it this is the form to use. I specifically asked my Consulate and they said "don't worry about expiration date". If you wanna make sure the Consulate accepts it, maybe call them and confirm? That's what I did.

I submitted an expired I-129F and had my whole packet returned to me to be redone. (Felt pretty dumb when I thought that I had the latest versions but saw mine was YEARS expired!) I also had the same problem with the DS-156 before it got updated last back in Dec. and at that time people reported taking the old version to the interview in Mexico with no problems. The consensus: whatever is on the government website as the latest version is what you are to submit.

Yes it doesn't print out the barcode and its not the main visa forms link on the DOS site. Its confusing why they would have 2 versions but the link that is most visible to customers is the 5/31 version?

Yeah if it hasn't been resolved by the time I have to deal with it, I was thinking to do the same. Thanks and good luck with the interview.
