RoC reminder letter sent to previous addresses, twice!

My wife received a thick package from the USCIS today. There were 2 envelopes inside. One was what I believe a reminder letter for RoC, and the other was a courtesy AR-11 form. These two envelopes were sent to the two previous addresses we used to live at, one from 2 years ago and the other a year ago. Every time we moved, we made sure to send the AR-11 form within 10 days of the moving date, and yet they still sent them to the wrong addresses, twice. Is this common? Or somehow our AR-11's didn't get through for some reason? Should we be worried about this?

It's nothing to worry about, they use the address used when you filed for adjustment of status. Same thing happened to me.

Whew... they made it sound so serious that we must file the AR-11 within 10 days of moving... them bloody bureaucrats.

yeah dont stress it, they too sent the reminder notice to our old address (the address we used on our AOS paperwork).

i believe its an automated system that doesnt look at your current status of address, rather, it just pulls your info from the last time you filed.

11/18/16... Checks cashed, received emails and text messages at 5:22pm, cases routed to Texas Service Center

02/22/17... NOA2 for Mom received (Notice Date 02/15/17)

02/28/17... NOA2 for Dad received (Notice Date 02/17/17)

03/01/17... Status online shows application sent to NVC 

03/17/17... Received emails from NVC for next steps!

03/21/17... Went online to Choose an Agent

03/28/17... Received emails from NVC confirming Agent selection and to proceed with the next step (paying fees!)

04/05/17... Paid the $120 Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee online today (Also eligible to pay the $325 Fee but will wait before doing so...)

April-August... Took a break from the process in order to move back from USVI to mainland USA.

08/07/17... Paid the IV Fees for both my parents ($325 each) today

08/23/17... Called NVC because payment still showing "In Process", was advised to email proof of payment to have them manually correct it

08/24/17... CEAC website shows "Paid" and can now have parents' DS-260 forms filled in.

Si, man... wouldn't it be a bummer if USCIS sent it to an old address that was, say, destroyed by a hurricane and the remains bulldozed? It will be interesting to see if communications are truly being sent with USPS Delivery Confirmation.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

funny how on one hand, the govt is trying to build this oh I care about the environment and everything should go green image, and on the other hand, they waste tax payers' money and time, paper, electricity by requiring some bureaucratic procedures that apparently are being completely ignored. #######. I wonder if the POBox address listed on the AR-11 form is a actually a paper shredder.
