I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Viner...

I wish you were too and that you posted your pic on line wearing check underpants and a blob of mustard

Ich moechte ein glas VEEN bitter ! Meinst du wein ?

Sorry, I am an American and I would like a glass of ween

It's amazing, given the huge percentage of Americans who have German ancestry, that they don't know the pronunciation difference between 'ei' and ie'

One takes the second letter

So Sieg (victory)is SEEG and Wein (wine)is VINE

and Mr Weiner is MR VINER

A citizen of Vienna (Wien)is a VEENER

A wiener schnitzel is a VEENER SCHNITZEL or a hot dog from vienna

and john bayner ? try google language tools (listen) and you will see that the correct pronuciatioon of his name (Boehner) is worse - much, much worse

Hope that clears it up - its Congressman VINER, a WEENER doesnt exist, a VEENER does and refers to 'of Vienna'

I think VJ should get a support grant from the UN educational trust

Can you kindly correct the mangling of Spanish by your UK compatriots?

It's amazing how many have holidayed in Spain only to constantly pronounce the ll as an l, i.e. torTILa and paELa

Also, Nicaragua only has 4 syllables not 5

Can't guarantee to get all of em.

My son has lived In Las Islas Canarias since 1995 and can rap it convicingly as he has lived with Argentinian and Spanish (Santander)and Venezuelan girls during that time

He tells me that eggs (huevos) are pronounced WAYWOS. Actually he can hardly speak/write English as he gets his brains from his mother and he emailed me saying his latest girlfriend called him an 'imberseal'

Wow. He is a very lucky man.

He tells me that eggs (huevos) are pronounced WAYWOS.

huevos = WAY - VOZ (rhymes with close....not like close a door....like a close call)

Actually he can hardly speak/write English as he gets his brains from his mother and he emailed me saying his latest girlfriend called him an 'imberseal'

Wow. He is a very lucky man.

I like the Spanish one best but they were all thieves. One raked off a percentage when she looked after foreign exchange in the hotel where she worked. More than her salary. Tourists don't carry calculators.

He told the Venezuelan about the floor safe and she watched him enter the combo. She took all his money and scooted to Italy to live with another guy. The Argy bargy had him support her for a year then she went back to Buenos Aires without warning.

The prettier they are, the harder they are to hang on to - canarias is a bad scene - all runaways and divorced guys skipping maintenance and junkies and alkies. Scousers, Geordies, Cockney spivs and one eyed gangsters - it's like pirates of the Caribbean but worse.
