We finally got our AOS interview for October 6th. We haven't gotten the written notice but the email notification says "On September 1, 2011, we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for October 6, 2011, at NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER." Where is NBC? I think our interview will be at our local USCIS office, right? Is this just a standard response?

We finally got our AOS interview for October 6th. Congratulation! Yes. I also confused when I received the notice via txt/email. But the letter by mail will indicate your local office. Good luck!!!

Got an email saying that it was undeliverable..ughhh I called and apparently they accidently sent my GC to my old address somehow it did not get updated even though I did the AR-11 change of address. So frustrating~! I was suppose to go home next week for a visit. So much for that~! Now gotta wait 2-4 weeks for them to resend my card to new address :(

Congrats on your approval!! I didn't get a decision at our interview but today I received the Email/Text notification for Card/ Document Production. Does that mean that I'm approved? :)

Thanks :)! If you received a text saying card/document production, that typically means your card has been ordered & therefore, you are approved! My status on USCIS went to card/document production the day after my interview, eventhough he told us we were approved at the interview and stamped my passport. Later that day the status moved to "decision" & from what I understand this is the normal process eventhough it looks like it's going backwards. You should also be receiving an email soon about I-130 approval if you filed it with your I-485. Congrats :)

You were right! My status also went from Card/Document production to "Decision" and I also got an email for the I-130 Approval :)

We went in for our interview on Sep 12th and it went really well. Our I-130 was approved! Unfortunately, I did not have a copy of my FULL or UNABRIDGED birth certificate because I was still waiting for it to be processed and sent from South African Home Affairs to the SA consulate here. (It can take up to 6 months!) We were lucky because we had a really nice officer who gave me a new date on which to bring in the BC, Oct 28th. I received the BC mid-September but had to wait to go in today to hand it in.

Long story short... we're approved! Yay! And it would have been approved and completed in 2 and 1/2 months but it's been approved in only 4 which is still pretty good considering;)

To all approved - Congrats! To anyone still waiting... I wish you all the best! :thumbs:
