Greetings from HCMC

I've just landed in VN and currently experiencing jetlag. It's half hour past midnight and she's already sound asleep. So hot and humid even though it's been raining all day.

My wife got pink a few days ago and now we're reunited. The feeling is hard to explain. We've prepared for a long delay but the result turned out can't be better than pink. I told her that we should be prepared for the worst and hope for the best.

Many thanks to those who have helped me understand more of the process, especially ScottThuy, JeromeBinh, JimVaPhuong. Even though I found this web site a little bit too late, your posts helped sooth my anxiety a lot. I truly appreciated all of those helpful and constructive posts of yours.

Also, congrats to those getting pinks and best of good luck for those who are still waiting.

From this journey, I have come to realize that once you're relationship is genuine, it WILL prevail. From my personal experience, I now do believe that the length of your relationship (from the time you first knew each other until you proposed or get married) isn't necessarily long, provided that you can show that in your timeline. We strongly believe that a detailed timeline has helped us tremendously. Believe it or not, our timeline is six pages long! Don't let some people with condescending posts and/or attitudes bother you.

I'm assuming this was your first interview... Was the pink already out when you got to the window? Sounds like you feel the timeline was critical. Since the timeline is never asked for on the initial interview I always like to hear more about this case of bringing it in before its requested. Did you have it notarized?

I do believe that many fraudsters did find their ways successfully... This makes our cases with genuine relationships have to deal with more challenges, especially the notorious HCMC consulate.

Yes, it was her first and only one interview. She told me that she saw the white sheet sitting on the table and the CO didn't even bother to look at her the entire interview, which was relatively short, about less than 15 minutes. If I didn't prepare the timeline meticulously with all questions and red flags explained in details, our case would probably be sent to AP or worst yet, being denied. The CO didn't ask for the timeline during the interview. She only focused on my ex, primarily. I had to have everything notarized before sending to her.
