Hi all, everyday (except for weekends) I'm checking my online case status for my I-129F. Can/will I ever see a change in my case status up until my approximate NOA2 date other than "initial review". I always think to myself my papers on sitting in a stack somewhere at the CSC, untouched and not under "initial review". Hahaha.

I know people jump on me when I say something similar. I am more than sure (I know there are 1000s of cases) that most of these are just sitting on someone's desk and some get lucky earlier and some don't and sometimes they lose documents that were already submitted. I've worked for a government agency before and I know how people operate there. Not saying everyone is impotent there but there are a lot of people who were C and D students, otherwise they would work for a private firm and not a government agency. Good luck to you !

There are a number of people who have gone through the entire process from USCIS to NVC to embassy interview and their case status on the webpage still says "initial review" :P

Our case status didn't change until a week after the petition was approved. We received the hardcopy the next day.

I think you correct about goverment agencies. My congressman and attorny have both made statements that the Vermont service center has been having long term problems with the staff there. I read the interview that was posted has a sticky on the fourm here, and he states the same thing. I wonder if that director is still there or not. I am happy for people that have been approved fast and have little problems, but there are a few of us that have been bent over the barrel over this process. I just hope for the best for everyone, but it is hard for me having lived in other areas of the world and see how crazy this whole system is. I really think the huge fraud going on is the biggest problem.

Yes William. I also get mad seeing there are some many people abusing the system. Using J1 visas, Tourist visas, and other methods to enter and say just for the sake of it. And I (and most others here) have very valid reasons and I have to wait so long to see my baby. I believe in government but this is pure bullshit
