NVC "additional processing"

I got approved by the USCIS CSC on May 20th, it has been sent to the NVC. I hadn't heard anything from the NVC so I called them to see what was happening and they said it had been received and was in "Additional Processing". The woman I talked to on the line refused to give any more details about it or tell me what kind of timeline that meant. Is this standard? How long might I expect this Additional Processing to last. I have all of the additional post-NOA2 information already and am hoping that this process can really get moving now that we got past the I-129F.

Anybody else have this experience?

Timeline

Ours was there for about three weeks. I was told "Administrative Processing" and "Additional Processing". I've seen timelines that take up to two months at NVC.

I got a little nervous but there is nothing you can really do. I called several times and got the same response, I even called a visa specialist at DOS and she told me that it was within normal processing and I had nothing to worry about.

Just keep hanging in there. Good luck.

Edit: Just looked at your timeline, how much quicker do you want it to be?

I know I'm very happy with how it's moved along so far. I think anyone on this board though would probably say they want it done now haha. Thanks, hopefully, it will indeed be 3 weeks.

Thanks!
