that's what I exactly felt last april when our case was completed and now its history, next week I might fly to US.

in few days you will get your interview date, just hang in there and watch out your inbox, they will email you. for the meantime, be ready with the documents you need to present at the embassy, you will never know what would they ask from you. I brought bunch of documents and the consular only ask for our pictures :bonk:

good luck

Not unusual...took us exactly 14 days if I remember correctly...but yeah, feels like forever. As far as the second week of the month stuff...nah, we got scheduled in early July 2 weeks ago. I think it's whenever they get the next batch of available appointments from USEM and work through the queue of waiting applications.

Hi Yhang,

I guess we are on the same boat. We called NVC last week to ask about our case status and they told us that they have forwarded our case to US Embassy Manila on 27th of May. It has been 11 days and we still havent heard anything from US Embassy Manila no email/mail from them. I would like to know if how long does it take for us to receive a letter or eligibility for us to set a schedule of appointment. Also, I would like to know if we can pay MVR at BPI and set a schedule of appointment and proceed to medical exam without getting a letter of eligibility from US Embassy Manila. I know how you feel on being impatient. I am getting very impatient and anxious about this too.

I hope I know the answers to your questions... we (IR/CR visa) don't really have that option like you since NVC is the one who will schedule our appointment. I hope we hear from them this week..

My advice is... DO NOT wait on letter from USEM. We received our NOA2 on 23 Jan, and STILL have not received our appointment letter from USEM. Email them, or call them! If you have your case # from NVC (MNLxxxxxxx), you might be able to schedule online. Pay your MVR fee once you get that, and get your exam done at St. Lukes, then schedule your interview.

Good luck!

OMG people, call the NVC every day until they have a case number to give you and then call the embassy every day until you are in the system and can schedule an interview. Good things take forever for those who wait. Once you have the case number you can pay the visa fee and get the medical exam. Then when BPI or the embassy mess up your case, call the embassy and hound them for several hours a day until they get you scheduled. and BTW, we got out interview date yesterday after being on the phone every day for a week trying to get a screw up by BPI fixed. After 4 1/2 hours on the phone last night, we got an interview date of June 13th. Good Luck!!!

I had the same problem. I called the embassy to ask about the status. Call +63 2 301 2000 extn 5184 or 5185 and give your NVC case number. They told me our letter was mailed out on May 31st and not to wait for it. You can get the K1 Visa instructions off of the embassy website. She told me to go ahead and pay the fees and then schedule the interview. If you wait for the letter it could take a month to receive. Scheduling the interview is another story...

Hi,

I emailed US embassy Manila last night and ask if they have already receive my case and luckily I heard back from them today about 2 hours ago saying that they received my approved I-129F application from NVC yesterday June 7, 2011 and that they have mailed me an eligibility letter and the best part is that in the letter it says I dont need to wait for the hard copy to arrive. I can pay MPI bank anytime starting today and I can set an appointment! This is a very good news for me.

Maybe you should try doing the same too. Email US embassy and ask if they already have your application. Here is their email address : IVManilaReplies@state.gov

Hope it will help you. Good luck and God bless!
