New Visa System in Manila

Last week Manila implemented a new Visa computer system. Now we cannot schedule an interview appointment becuase the system has duplicate records and nobody there can seem to delete the duplicates. It has been a week now and they have been unable to help. This is driving both me and my love crazy. I have spoken to 3 supervisors and a manager. They can't even just skip the system and set up an interview. All they can ever do is open a report. Does anyone know of an alternate contact for the embassy that can get this resolved? We are sooo close to the end of this process and now the brakes are on hard.

We just sent some documents they requested for my fiancee's k2. Now I know why it is taking so long to get an answer from them. :crying:

We paid May 18th. But after hours on the phone with several different people at the embassy, I figured out what the issue was. They finally got the duplicate records deleted, and then we got hung on the receipt number. It turns out that BPI charged us for a Trader Visa instead of a Fiance Visa. It was PHP 16,770 instead of PHP 15,050. Now they have to call BPI in the morning to verify and then change it in their system.

Don't be patient with them. If you do not press them hard, nothing will get done. I have had to become a thorn in their side to get this issue moving. It is still not resolved yet, but will be tonight US time if I have to stay on the phone all night long.

hi... hmm we are almost in the same situation i encountered a problem in paying the visa fee coz the bpi had a mistake on posting how much is the visa fee converted into peso they werent able to update their chart and the teller of the bank are not informed or not updated of how much is the payment for the k-1 visa.which they should know even if the 350$ is constant but if you pay it in peso it changes evry week coz of the exchange rate.so not knowing about that i paid the 15050 pesos that is in their chart.and when i paid it on the teller the teller ask me where did i get the amount of the k-1 visa fee then i said oh i got it on your chart and he said oh ok. then after that he accepted my payment of 15050 got my receipt and went home..after a week i tried to schedule my interview but then when i put my date of receipt it says that i should contact the bank coz im short on payment of 350pesos..so after that i immediately went to the bank and told them and wowww it was in their copy that the k-1visa fee is 15400pesos.so i told them u should have updated your chart coz the payers will assume especially the first timer that what is in your chart is the exact payment in peso.so after that they advised me to come back after 4 working days but gladly they were able to fixed it the next day..so after that we started scheduling our appointment and gladly yesterday i got my interview schedule on july 18, 2011..

godbless :innocent:

After 4 1/2 hours on the phone last night, the embassy finally decided the easiest way to resolve this issue is to make my appointment as a Trader Visa Appointment. Yes, we will still have a K-1 interview. She now has an interview appointment for June 13th and a plane ticket to Dallas on June 21. YEY!!!!!!!! She is finally comming home.:D
