Hi guys

Well I'm starting to put everything together for AOS, EAD, and AP and I have a couple of questions:

#1. On the I-485: Is the I-94 number the number on the top left corner of the I-94 under "departure number"?

#2. I-485 the question, "were you inspected by a US Immigration Officer"... Hicham got his I-94 stamped and gave him the envelope... does that mean he was inspected?

#3. I-485: "non immigrant visa number" - Is this the red number on the Visa or is it the control number?

#4. I-131 for AP: It says you must attach a document issued by USCIS showing you are present in the states. So is a copy of his I-94 ok for this? part B of this is you must attach an explanation or other evidence that warrant issuance of an AP document or if you are an applicant for AOS a copy of the USCIS receipt as evicence that you filed the application... I am filing this with AOS so that's evidence yes?

#5. I-131- Must submit 2 identical photos of yourself ... passport photos?

#6. I-131: On a separate sheet of paper please explain how you qualify for an AP document etc. etc.... Should I write that we want to go on vacation next spring or summer on a separate sheet of paper?

#7. I-765: question 16- eligibility categories... is it © (9)?

#8. Since I am filing all of these together so I need to include for example a copy of his passport or I-94 with each application or can I just submit it once? I just don't know if I should send 3 separate copies of this with each application since I am sending all of them at the same time. How many passport photos will be needed for everything here? He had 4 photos taken... do I have to send 2 with each application?

Thank you so much in advance and sorry about this mess!

We appreciate your help!

Have you looked at the example forms in the guides?

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=examples

A few answers:

#5 Passport photos.

#6 Where do you plan on vacationing? If it is with in the U.S. then AP may not be necessary.

#8 Step by step assembly guides may help you with what to include. I would package each form as if it is separate, so if each is asking for the same documentation include copies of the documentation with each.

Ok so I should do each application separately and include evidence separately for each one?

Thanks again!

I know the AOS/EAD are enclosed in the same package so there is no need include double evidence ... I didn't apply for AP so I am not sure on that ... I would think that it would all go together in the same package ...

Okay I will try to answer some of your questions :

#1. On the I-485: Is the I-94 number the number on the top left corner of the I-94 under "departure number"?

YES

#2. I-485 the question, "were you inspected by a US Immigration Officer"... Hicham got his I-94 stamped and gave him the envelope... does that mean he was inspected?

YES

#3. I-485: "non immigrant visa number" - Is this the red number on the Visa or is it the control number?

YES it is the number in red near the bottom ...

Unfortunately I don't have experience as I didn't apply for AP.

#5. I-131- Must submit 2 identical photos of yourself ... passport photos?

Once again I don't have experience with AP.

#6. I-131: On a separate sheet of paper please explain how you qualify for an AP document etc. etc.... Should I write that we want to go on vacation next spring or summer on a separate sheet of paper?

Sorry AP question again.

#7. I-765: question 16- eligibility categories... is it © (9)?

Yes the category is C 9

#8. Since I am filing all of these together so I need to include for example a copy of his passport or I-94 with each application or can I just submit it once? I just don't know if I should send 3 separate copies of this with each application since I am sending all of them at the same time. How many passport photos will be needed for everything here? You send all forms as a complete package to the Chicago Lockbox ... You do not have to supply extra copies of passports or I-94s or birth certificates for each submition just one is fine ... You will need 2 photos for your I-485 and 2 photos for your I-765 and I am not sure how many you need for your AP ...

I hope this helps ... I am sure someone can help you with the AP questions ...

IMHO you should treat the applications as seperate, even though they are in 1 envelope. So if EAD asks for 2 photos, and AOS asks for 2 photos, send 4.

I have no evidence for saying this, but I think its better to be safe than sorry. Including more copies of evidence reduces the chances of an RFE for missing evidence that you included (which people often get).

Each application is adjudicated on its own basis. Indeed, each application may be adjudicated by different personnel.

Each and every application must stand on its own evidence. Therefore, evidence must be given to each application. If each asks for a copy of the I-94, then a copy must be presented for each.. not just one copy for all three...

You can file in January. :)

No, you don't have to do anything different now unless you like to do that sort of thing, and want to jiggle your witholdings.

Seems like a lot of w o r k. ;)

I have another question. Do we send wedding photos and other evidence with our packet or do we wait until our interview to have that stuff? I was under the impression that the evidence is for the interview.

Thanks!

Sarah
