My wife received her EAD card today. Last week, we went to the social security office to get her SS # but the lady at the office said that she was not in the system. With the actual card, do you know if they will accept it to give her a SS #?

She had an I 94 but it has expired (3 months) so that wasn't acceptable to the lady.

Also, anyone in the NY/NJ know how much time it will take to get her green card?

thanks.

Congrats on your EAD!

I live in NJ and my husband just had his interview in Newark. He had his interview exactly 6 months from his date of entry into the US. It was quite shocking that it went this fast. It seems like USCIS is speeding through new cases lately!

Good luck!
