looking for work with expired greencard??

My husband's conditional greencard expires in four days. We already filed the I-751 and received the NOA stating it is extended for a year but my question is this: He is currently looking for work and I am worried that an employer might not be comfortable hiring somebody with an expired green card...anybody have experience with this?

The letter is kind of vague...I thought it would say something like "this letter allows work and travel until...blah blah blah"

And what about traveling? I can just see the immigration people in Jamaica not letting him on the plane because his greencard is expired!

personal experience with travelling to Jamaica with not an expired but a lost Green. The process is simple unless he is taking the plan from one of those back of the bush places. The letter allow for the extension of the status and with the letter he can make an appointment at the nearest office and get a stamp in his passport which will service as temp. evidence which would allow international travel. Work would be the same process.
