She just went for the summer a couple of weeks ago and I need to wait for the end of the school term to go in two weeks... will be there a month or so...

what's VJ vietnam gonna do w/o u? :help:

also i find the months after tet and right before summer are also cheap, like march/april. i've never gone back during peak time like tet, christmas, or summer...just like i avoid HCM during peak traffic hours.

When you book an airline ticket many months in advance, you'll be rewarded with steep discount since the airline knows there's one less seat to worry about.

When is the last time you actually bought a plane ticket? Airlines no longer do that. In the past, with oild prices pretty constant, airlines would give discounts if you booked far out. Now a days, they can't do that because of the volatility of oil prices. If they give a bunch of seats away cheap and oil skyrockets, they may end up taking a huge hit on that flight.

That's how I got it for my second trip to VN in Dec 2009 after Christmas. Not exactly though because I didn't stay for Tet. With gas prices skyrocketting these days, thing may change.
