Just curious as to what the timeline most of you guys thing for NVC complete to Intreview Date for Mumbai embassy is.

From checking a few timelines, it looks to be about 1.5 months.

USCIS- (77 Days)
I-130 Sent : 04-05-2011
I-130 NOA1 : 04-08-2011
I-130 NOA2 : 06-24-2011
NVC- (29 Days)
NVC Received : 07-25-2011
NVC Case Closed: 08-23-2011
Medical/VFS/Interview
Interview Date Recieved: 09-02-2011
Medical Completed: 09-16-2011
VFS Fees Paid and Documents Submitted: 10-21-2011
Interview: 11-10-2011

Interview Status: Approved
Visa In Hand: 11-10-2011

P.O.E- Chicago, IL: 12-16-11
Recieved Welcome Letter: 01-03-2012

Thought so. Thanks for the reply.

lately they are slowing things down at mumbai embassy due to infrastructure issue...

currently they are only operating 12-13 windows only to issue Visa... therefor its taking such a long time to get visa dates...

but US will be opening a brand new Consulate in Bandra Kurla area... where they are expecting to have atleast 35-40 interview windows...

once this opens up they are estimating that it will take anywhere between 2-3 weeks for an interview...

they are planning to open it by the end of the year...

05 / 26 / 2011 :: Interview Date Received - Packet 4

06 / 07 / 2011 :: Medical - DONE

07 / 05 / 2011 :: VFS Fees Paid

07 / 18 / 2011 :: Interview - APPROVED

07 / 18 / 2011 :: Picked up Visa in the Evening

My wife and I are waiting for the NVC to approve/RFE us, an I was hoping someone would have some sort of intelligent estimation as to how long the process would take.

I'm quite bummed by the 50 day timeframe though :(

USCIS - 203 days

08/09/2010: NOA1 (I-130) Received text & email with case number

02/28/2011: Received NOA2 hard copies of approval for I130 and I129F

NVC

03/02/2011: NVC Case Number Assigned, received IIN #

06/06/2011: AOS and IV received at NVC

06/21/2011: NVC Case Complete

08/24/2011: Embassy Interview

09/14/2011: Visa granted

09/18/2011: POE Houston!!!

Total time from beginning to end: 406 days (1 year, 1 month, 10 days)

Are you sure that many windows would be open? All I have heard is they are moving into a bigger facility and would kinda seprate their working and living quarters.

Also the new setup is going to be more applicant friendly with enough room to sit etc.

It would be nice to have embassy in BK complex will not have to travel all the way to South Bombay.... not that I am going to need to go to consulate anytime ....lol
