My fiance had interview two months ago in casablanca, morocco and was denied on section 221g but not reason given, i contacted my congressman and asked for inquiry, after one month or so i got response from my congressman office, the US embassy in casablanca got back to them saying that my fiance's visa was not denied but kuz he was unable to answer some questions about me and my family our case was send back to USCIS for further review. Has anyone here heard about similar case? how long it could take before heard from USCIS? the congressman officer also gave me the diplomatic punch #, any website or telephone # i could track it kuz it was sent on may 02,2011 still hear nothing from them.

The visa application WAS denied if the case was sent back to USCIS... one of two things will happen now... they will either allow you to rebut the decision from Casa or they will allow the petition to expire which would give you the option of filing a new k1 or going to casa and getting married and filing CR1...

In a nutshell they didnt believe the relationship was valid and denied the visa application... it happens and at some Embassy's/consulates it happens too often...

I have read another person's post about the family issue. One would expect that if are planning on marriage that you would have discussed your immediate family and be able to answer basic questions. This has been brought up in several posts over the last year especially in MENA countries.

Here is a thread that is sort of similar. Read this post

Hope this can help. As you read it, you will see some senior members who you may want to message personally.

Good Luck

It indeed was denied, and it will take a couple of months for USCIS to receive it. Most likely it will expire, and not be reviewed. You should begin preparing in case it IS reviewed- you may be given a chance to rebut. Overall, you should start mentally preparing for returning to Morocco to marry, and filing a CR1. Check the MENA forums for countless stories identical to your own, and what others have done that were in your situation. Good luck.
