Affidavit of support and household members.

Hi,

Can somebody clear up one thing for me please. When I file Affidavit of support for my mom and want to add my brother's salary as a household member, what kind of proof should I sent to immigration that we actually living with my brother under the same roof? Do I need to send the lease agreement with both names on it? The thing is that I am leasing the apartment and my brother is just residing with me. What else can be sent as a proof of residency together?

Is he listed on your lease as a resident? Has he updated his address with the DMV? Has he filed a tax return using your shared address? Does he receive any bills at that address?

He is not listed on the lease with me, because he came to the country at the end of last year, when I already leased it. His driver's license shows this address though, and his car insurance bills and bank statements come to this address. Would that be enough?

That's probably enough, but it wouldn't hurt if you talked to your landlord about adding your brother's name to the lease as a resident.
