Well, educate me wise one. Thus far you're saying that we need to stop spending so the economy can grow. Doesn't make any sense to me so tell me why and how reducing demand will grow the economy. Or are smart cracks all you got?

Frankly Charles, you're off base here. Obama is acting in keeping with the general parameters of Democratic party policy throughout modern history. You may or may not like Democratic policy, but he's no outlier to it.

I can't teach common sense. Do you carry a balance on your credit card? Do you have any outstanding loans? The answer is in there somewhere, if you care to look. Businesses learn to live within their means, and so should governments.

Businesses do strategically raise debt when appropriate and so should governments.

you have a democrat president extending tax cuts, staying in 2 countries instead of withdrawing like he campaigned, getting involved in a 3rd country, spending money like a drunk sailor, rubber stamping the patriot act.....and you don't see a democrat change?

Well, Chuck, sorry that reading strains you that much. Thought it was quite apparent that I wasn't talking about a Democrat but rather about the Democrats - i.e. the party. Why would I compare a single Democrat to the whole of the GOP? Wait a minute. Okay, you got me. In your mind I would because that Democrat packs the smarts of the whole of the GOP.
