You need to take the appointment letter with you as well. Other than that ID is all that is needed.

What will happen is that you will have to fill in a form when you get there, giving some details about yourself. Then you'll either get called or sent in where they will take your photo, then take finger, thumb and hand prints. The whole process takes about 15 mins.

Don't forget to bring your appointment letter too. I am assuming you are going for biometrics. Basically, you will present your appointment letter and show your identification. You will probably receive a form to fill out which you will then hand over to another person with your appointment letter. They will give you a number and you will wait - generally quite a short time as they seem to do biometrics quite quickly - until your number is called. They will then take your fingerprints electronically which means you don't have to have ink or anything like that. They will do all 8 fingers and both thumbs. They will then take your photograph, much like they do for a driver's license. And that is that! All usually quite painless. There will be people there getting fingerprints for a variety of reasons, not just AOS, so you will notice quite a range of people waiting. You will probably be advised to turn off your cell phone or leave it in the car. Your husband doesn't need to be with you, although he can probably come and wait with you, I believe. It depends on the policies of the ASC involved (if waiting space is tight).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

oh and if your name is changed, but its not on your ID or passport, bring your marriage certificate. if its already on your state ID, then no worries. make sure your hands are not recently injured or else they may send you away and postpone your biometrics until your hands are healed. my hubby sat inside and waited, no prob. good luck

Definitely take a copy of your marriage certificate in addition to your passport and ID, if your name has changed. My passport has my maiden name and my driver's license has my married name. At my biometrics appointment they kept a copy of my marriage certificate.

Good luck!
