Not Accepted because not Properly Signed

Help! Can anyone offer me advice on this topic. I sent my I129F form in last week and instead of getting a NOA1, I got a Rejection Notice stating that the "The application or petition cannot be accepted because it has not been properly signed." Has this happened to anybody else. I double checked and I am sure everything is signed..... page 3 on the I129F, all four copies of the G-325A on both mine and my fiances, the supplement for question 18, and both of our intent letters. They are so vague and dont state anything specifically. So I am not sure what they want exactly. I will call tomorrow but in the meantime I am a little frustrated.

The only thing I thought of and maybe someone out there will know the answer to this.... is that I sent all copies and maybe they need original signatures. Somewhere I read or heard to make copies of everything and send the copies not the originals, just in case the orginals were lost in the mail... so that is what I did. But now I am thinking maybe I misunderstood and maybe this is the problem... maybe I should have sent all the originals for forms I129F, G325A, and the letters... and maybe just copies of all the other documents... Can anyone shed some light for me? Thanks it would be greatly appreciated.

You said it, you should only send originals of all forms, letters of intent, etc. The proof of meeting can be copies.

We made copies before we signed everything then had original signatures on each page.

Thanks everyone for the quick confirmation, I love this sight! I really feel dumb now but wont beat myself up too badly, I know everyone makes mistakes... I just wish I wasn't in such a hurry and read over the guides a little more carefully. I will send the originals in tomorrow and I am sure everything will be fine. Thanks again, Laura

Unfortunately you got the 'make copies' part, but they need the originals of some items, such as the I-129F and G-325A's, as well as letters of intent, so that would be the reason for your rejection. You can resubmit the original documents asap.

Yup! Most of the things you can use copy but not those...

Signed must be original.

I did this from my side, he did, also.

We read somewhere that something like this already happened, search in VJ.

So - I made my signature like in oldschool - "n a m e s u r n a m e" nice and correct and expand.

So dont make individual art from your signature (even this is not your way), do this as in basic shool, they will like it.

I'm pretty sure I sent copies of EVERYTHING (with a note on my coversheet that originals could be provided IF NEEDED).

How am I certain?

My copies intended for USCIS were blown out of my hands on that windy day, so I swapped the copy of the payment with the ACTUAL payment from 1 of the other 2 copies I had made. I also had to move the passport style photographs.

The originals were stored safely in a folder after I had copied them.

Of course Olga has the originals now for her interview.

This includes I-129F and both sets of G325A, UNLESS this has changed since April.

If you only sent copies of the forms with the initial filing that didnt have an original signeture and they were accepted, then you were extremely lucky to get away with it.
