Hi guys,

I need some clarification. My I-130 is pending(march 14) and my husband is in a process of becoming citizen July/Aug.

Let assume If my I-130 get approved before he become a citizen, can NVC process all fees etc or they wouldn't start my NVC process as visa numbers aren't avaliable.

Good afternoon and welcome to this thread... The best out there.

The NVC will not process the case as a IR / CR 1 because the category isnt changed until the file is updated with the resudency status from USCIS is thats where the update took place or the petitioner sending the necessary information. Until then no process will begin... But u dont have long to wait.

Ive been trying to contact the NVC at 603-334-0700 (is this correct?), to ask for case number. But it is always busy. Is this the only number that we should contact for NVC? Can you pls share your experience calling NVC for case number... Thanks

Thanks Richard. I was under the impression that I can pay fees etc and send packets to NVC while he upgrades my petition.

Not true. The NVC will not wait until the priority date is current to start proceesing the case that v would case a severe back logs and a huge number of applicants who are documentarily qualified.

It means we all who just got NVC case numbers should not be hopeless......... bec i was thinking that NVC is not even going to touch our cases untill priority date becomes current.

but u gave gud news that even though visa number is not available still they will atleast do some paper work with our cases like .......... COA, AOS bills n etc ..................right?

Yes... They will slowly request those things as the priority dates move... The faster it moves... The faster they will request more documents.
