Hello Vjers,,just wanna ask if purchasing a ticket for fiancee visa should be 2 way? coz i heard that its a 2way, dont know if its true...

Or is it okay to purchase a 1way ticket?..its so expensive already...please share your experience...thank you and god bless.

I have been researching ticket prices for the last few days. Sometimes the round trip tickets are cheaper. So far the one way has been the cheapest Ive seen. Out of all the sites, www.bookingbuddy.com has had the best prices. Good Luck

YEA they are getting that away, ive been checking too. So far i found continental one way ticket reasonable at 1045.00 one way, And ive flown that route many times, so iam probably going to use that......well iam going cause i have a ace in the hole.hehehe.......2 hughes discounts, they gave me when i got stuck in Guam last time and then in hawaii, amounts to about 400.00 bucks.... :whistle::thumbs:

One way. Unless you plan on not getting married. Buying a two way will only help if you have fully refundables which are expensive in themselves. What will happen if you buy the cheapest two way is you'll have a credit for the airline for the reutn trip and fees to go with it. so in the end it wont feel so cheap.

As others have said, get which ever is the cheaper, however; if you should purchase a RT ticket, please, oh please, make sure you cancel the return trip once the marriage takes place. This prevents the airline from selling your seat to someone and forgetting to change the name on the flight manefest and the USCIS gets ahold of the flight manefest and claims your fiance(e) left the country and then YOU have to come up with the proof that your fiance(e) did not leave the country. I bought a RT with a return date near the expiration of the I-94 (just in case) and canceled it about two weeks after we were married. RT was $1000 less than the one-way for when she wanted to travel--one week earlier and the one-way would have been $800 cheaper. Of course I tied my hands by requiring a direct flight into Denver rather than a stop over in some other US city requiring a plane change after going through immigration and customs. Glad I did as it took over 2 hours to get the bags off the airplane. So make certain to leave enough time on the connecting flight to get through the POE process for a K-1 Visa.

Buy whatever is cheaper! The one-way usually is, though not always. I bought my fiance's (now husband) ticket one way and it was already expensive enough!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

It's strange how they price tickets... Just to see I checked the one way vs. round trip on a flight from Belize, and the one way was $100 more than the round trip! :huh:
