Best Way to Call Jamaica?

Anyone have suggestions on the best/cheapest way to call Jamaica and Jamaica call U.S.? I have been using Tel3 an internet credit service to put on my cell phone (U.S. phone), and Skype credit for U.S. cell phone. My fiance has been topping up Digicel credit 1,000 JA credit that lasts a week, if even that And you can only top up a certain amount of times a month because it's supposed to be a monthly plan. So fiance has to switch from two different numbers to keep up with the credit we use! I've used just about every calling card you can find at a store and nothing's good. I've looked online for help to no avail.

If you have metropcs in your area...they have a great plan for international calling. I pay 55 a month and yes that is my free international calling / international texting and all my data.....but 55 is worth it for just the unlimited international calling you can talk as much as you want!

It is cheaper for him to call you, no matter what type of international plan you use; i.e calling card, rebtel, or tel3. Digicel has a international calling plan for $25.00 for 16 to 20 hours of calling time. He should ask around in JA, if you'll already have this then using 2 chips is a lot of talk time, about 40 hours.

It doesn't cover Jamaican cell phones! I just looked it up And Net10, my current provider has a great international plan, but once again, Jamaica isn't even listed.

i use to use digicel international plan but switched to claro 999 international plan. i can top up anytime i run out, which is a lot and my hubby,who is a USC, just rings my phone once and thats his signal for me to call him since its cheaper for me to call. hope this helps.

I would send hubby credit from digiceljamaica and you can topup as much as u want and it even gives them local credit to use I still send it to his dad cause his daughter is still there it cost 15.22 for 1250. mins

yes, the metropcs international plan does not include Jamaica.

The digicel international plan is the best we have found. It used to be that you could only top up once a month, back then we had 4 chips and topped up a different 1 every week.

Now digicel has changed that rule, you CAN top up the international plan as many times a month as you want on the same chip.

There is a different code you use, I will have to ask my husband what it is if your SO does not know, I can find out.

So I txt him for free on my metropcs phone and he calls me back on the digicel plan.

I also use www.ringyard.com for emergencies when I need to get him right away.

It is no way as cheap as digicel, but it is super convenient and reasonable as far as calling cards go.

I top up my fiance's phone with $2400 JMD credit every month and it usually lasts all month, but it depends how long you talk. Verizon home phone has 500 minutes a month for $19.99

How would you send it? Right now I'm using a card from Walgreens that costs $22 USD and it transfers to his Digicel phone at barely $1200 JMD.

No problem! Also just FYI, in my opinion www.ezetop.com is the best website for sending credit. For me it's much less confusing than the digi site.

$20 buys JMD $1240.25 mobile top up ~ after GCT tief, dem a tief! ~lol~

The most we've ever spent is $110 a month on phone bills between Digicel and Ringyard, and we talk all day every day almost.

Now our bills are much less since he got internet, we use skype for FREE!

I am trying to get the code to top up the intl. plan within the 30 day period, soon come
