Scanned copy of I-134 is okay?

Hello everyone..i just want to ask to those who are done with their interview...is it okay to have a scanned copy of completed I-134 form from my fiancee with signature? or does he really need to mail his original I-134 form?

I am quite confident that it has to be with original signature. The reason I say this is when we went for our interview, we had our originals and backup copies in case anything got misplaced. When we took our documents to the interview, we somehow had the copy of my I-134 instead of the original and they made me sign beside my scanned signature. I am glad I was there with her for her interview..... However, We were in Brazil and each consulate can be different. I hope someone who has gone through the Consulate in the Philippines can either verify it or tell you different.

Based on my understanding, neither CIS or consulate accepts scanned copies... The original form has to be submitted affixed with an original signature of the petitioner. All forms submitted must be original and not scanned. Just for example on my case, I once called the SSA department of US em Manila when I applied for my baby's SSN before asking them if they will accept scanned copies and they said that an original form should be submitted with original signature.

Any members here are welcome to correct me if I'm wrong and hope you can help more to the OP's concern. Thank you.

If you are doing the paper process then it must have an original signiture. It can be a copy of the completed form, but the signature must not be a copy or scan. If you are doing electronic process it is a little different, but still best to have the originals with the original signature. They request these in the interview letter, but didn't collect them at the interview

Before my interview, I make sure that all of the forms that need signature is original.

In I-134 form, I asked him to download the form, filled them up and signed it. Then he FedEx it to me

Trust me...when it comes to government documents, you need to submit the original.
