Finally Done wth a salmon slip

Long few days dealing with hospitals and the consulate but everything is finished and we got the pink slip (it is really salmon colored but why would we expect little details like that to be correct ). Xiaoming got the dreaded window 22 (with the mean asian guy who denies just about everyone) but she did a great job and made it through the interview with no problems. Should have Visa in hand in a few days. Now a chance for some much needed rest for her. Thanks to everyone and especially Darnell for all the help to get through this with my sanity and some of my hair still intact.

Just for Final Clarity, still suggest to call DoS Hotline, ask for casefile status (during the day, USA East Coast Time)

Put the embassy review up a little while ago. Casefile status? You mean we're not done? And btw, they never took or made her sign the DS-230 part 2. Is that normal?

Ok, I just went through all of the papers that she brought back and the DS-230 isn't there so I can only guess that she did sign it and gave it to the CO but didn't realize that is what it was.

ya, in some instances, casefile not officially 'finished', and many times, the VO not mention it on interview day.

DoS Hotline (# in my profile, click the girls, see left panel) Human has current casefile status, so

if the casefile was put in administrative review, or if the namechecks weren't finished yet by interview day (tag of Adminitrative Processing) then the DoS Human will have it on their screen, and ya gots to ask about it.

IMO, it's better to find out from that phone call, than to find out via postal mail. There's some big chance all is good, yes? But just to be certain, call DoS Hotline, get a Human.

Brother, it ain't 'done' till she has the visa packet in her hands.

just tore apart the hotel room and sure enough with the book of photos is the unsigned DS-230. Why wouldn't they take this at the interview? If I understand correctly that is the main visa application. WTH

procedural error, IMO, on their part.

But they already have SOMETHING in the SAFEFILE version of her casefile.

This would be a great thing to get sorted at ACH, but it's not offered anymore.

Still have the interview letter? Try to get in on Friday morning? But - if DoS Hotline Human Says 'Visa Approved' today when you call, I wouldn't sweat this so much.

Same thing my wife was aprove pink paper in all, but they didn't take her ds-230 form still unsign, she even ask the vo if he wanted anything else from her and he said no.

also the delivery service people told her visa might come on saturday as well.

how did you check if her paper work was done and if her visa arrive at the postal service? through Dos hotline?

could this be a new thing where they don't keep the ds-230 form or even required a signature?

Yeah I think it is a new process. Xiaoming said she didn't see anyone signing forms. On the pink slip there is a number you can call that will tell you if the post office has the packet. The EMS receipt will have the tracking number also, and you can see when it has been delivered to the post office. I would start checking friday afternoon. Man I'm excited for you guys. One of my Nanning friends was having their second interview the same day as you so I hope they got pink also. You didn't happen to talk to a guy from texas while you were there

Depend I actually spoke 2 other guys, i think one of them from texas, was he retire. If this his second time in 3 years then he failed not sure if its the same guy cr-2, this dude wasn't happy as he storm out of the hallway and made a comment to me and another dude "this place can kiss my ####" and walked away as his wife walk behind him 8 feet away sad. another american pass alone with me but he is from washington we were waiting for our wife at the cafe www.comfly.cn cafe.

I will in a couple of day. It might help some peoPle about hotel stays to hospital exam to waiting in the embassy to calling for the visa to pick up at the post office. But hard to do on my wides iPhone.
