ya, there's much to do for Canada - the DS-260 online form is one of them thingies.

Saylin has a mondo cool mashup about this at http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_for_Montreal_Beneficiaries_–_Electronic_Processing_and_New_Online_Forms

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

HI

HOW ARE YOU I SEND MY DS230 THROW USPS ON MAY 25 I TALK TO NVC REP TODAY SHE SAD THAT I HAVE TO FILL OUT DS26 WE WILL NOT REVIEW 230 MY WIFE IS IN CANADA PLZ HELP

If your wife is in Canada, then she is REQUIRED to do the online DS-260. It's the online version of the DS-230. Please follow the link Darnell posted as I wrote the whole wiki on the online forms as well as electronic processing.

Pretty straightforward--you filled out the wrong form. Seriously--this isn't directed at you, but to everyone just getting started--take the time to understand exactly what you need to do based on the consulate that will be processing your case--there are differences--some subtle, and some not so subtle.

Please realise there is a BIG difference between electronic processing and online forms.

Electronic processing is where you send packages by email instead of by snail mail. This is still optional for Montreal.

Online forms is where you fill out the DS-260 (as well as the DS-261, choice of agent) online. This is mandatory for Montreal.

Please see this link for more info (table at bottom): http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_5165.html

And the operator you spoke with is wrong, and you will have to fill out the DS-260. It doesn't matter that you're doing everything by mail, it's still required going through the consulate in Montreal for you to fill out a DS-260.

come on, filling out the DS-260 online is fun !! best way to handle it? have 2 kg of poutine in front of you, take 2 big bites each time you fill out a text box.
