Have a very curious ? for anybody who can help us,my wife is from Colombia, she is a doctor. She is now studying the USMLE medical books, and going to be taking her 1st exam here sometime late this year or early next year.We live in a very small town in southern Indiana, its about 1 hour from Louisville,KY,and 3 hrs from Indianapolis,IN.Well,we decided that it would be best to do her clerkship(its like a rotation to get hospital experience and learn more about american medicine and stuff) right after her 1st exam, but her clerkship would be in a major city, and since we live in a very small town,we would have to move.We try to save as much as we can,she is not working at the moment, but she is thinking about seeing into getting like an assistant doctor`s position somewhere.Has any foreign doctor gone through this, and was it really hard to move in your situation, thanks. We live in a Apartment now,and our contract is up in January, and we dont plan on signing another 1 year deal,so we have to decide just where to move too.We know there are probably cheaper apartment rentals in different major cities,we just dont know which one`s that might be right now.We are very excited about our future, and yet very scary and nervous too,we just hope and pray everything works out for us,take care and God Bless to everyone.
