Hey all,

Well I am still completing the packet I need to send over to my fiance, and that includes the I-134. On question #11 asking I INTEND or DO NOT INTEND TO MAKE SPECIFIC CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE SUPPORT OF THE PERSON(S) NAMED IN ITEM 3.

What do I put? I looked at the example form on this site and it says to put N/A (K1 process for permanent residence, but other things Ive seen tell me to put " I INTEND to sponsor NAME OF FIANCE for the purposes of the K1 fiance visa process for permanent residence".

Im confused....what do I put?

It doesn't appear that it really matters. We ticked "intend" and wrote: "I will provide room and board for Vanessa indefinitely. I intend to marry her within 90 days of her arrival to the United States." others have done as the example forms. I personally prefer what we did. We were approved with no RFE's.

We followed the example and it was no problem in London. I know of one person named Graham who interviewed in London in 2008 who had what sounded like a new or substitute interviewer. Graham had done what everybody else did--exactly like the VJ sample. CO said it shouldn't be blank (indend/do not intend) and let Graham tick the box. People after that had no problem following VJ example, but it kinda got passed down in VJ lore that "London wants you to tick 'Intend'." I don't think that's likely true, but it doesn't take a second to tick the box.
