I-751 June 2011 Filers

Well, a development in my case at last. Today I received a Letter requesting more evidence. They listed in the letter what I provided and stated that it didn't span the whole length of our marriage. I could be very annoyed right now, but I am actually relieved as it means they have looked at our case. I have gathered more evidence tonight and sending overnight to them tomorrow.

Barking mad but I do understand why we go thru this, just a shame it takes soooooo long.

I am sorry to hear all the processing trouble you are still going through. We wrote "you are free to visit our home anytime you want to" in our cover letter for I-751.

I have been approved but still don't have the actual GC. The one they sent me was erroneous so I had to send it back and so far, the only news I heard from them is that they received my request for card replacement (and hopefully the attached erroneous card). Based on USCIS timeline, it could take 5 months to receive replacement. I already sent my application for naturalization so, my interview or oath taking might probably take place before I even receive the card... or it might arrive just in time for me to at least hold it for a few seconds before surrendering it to them during oath ceremony.

I am hoping your I-751 would be approved soon and that you would receive your 10 GC without any error.

Good luck Jhonscotland, we are willing your GC a speedy expedition!!! It must be so annoying to have waited all this time to hear this kind of news, when you could have sorted this much sooner. At least you still have your sense of homour!! Fingers crossed for you.

Well got my i551 stamp today. I'm 27 days away from the 1-year postmark.

Maybe I should go celebrate it.

Phoned USCIS and was told that it can take 60 days for them to respond to the RFE. My 1 year extension expires on 23rd Sep but I am going on vacation overseas with wife, daughter and in -laws 1 to 8 sep. I suppose that when I am coming back in, they can't say anything as I am still in date.

Risk it or go to e-pass?

What gets me is that we are made to feel guilty until we prove our innocence. They probably don't mean to, it's just how the process makes us all feel.

P.s. our 3rd wedding anniversary today and we are so happy. Life couldn't be better. Looking forward to applying for Citizenship.

Yea, same here. I don't understand how proof of a wedding in the US with all our relatives do not show evidence of a marriage of good faith?

We still havent heard anything since I took my son for his biometric appointment. We are planning a visit back to the UK in mid-July and although our GC expired 20th August last year we plan to be back before the year extension letter becomes a problem. I did read over it and it says that 1 year extension or until a final decision is made on the GC so maybe it covers for longer? I am not going to take that chance though.

Still a bit of a bumpy time for some of us June filers, hope this soon gets resolved for all of us.

Got approval on May 28, 2012!!!

Didn't receive any text or email.. and notice came from local office just FYI
