Looks like I'm just have to wait ... so far nothing, even after the fact that my congressman put in an inquiry and my N-400 has completed the bio...

We want to make sure we got everything right so we actually consulted an attorney and certain things took a while to get.

As for where I was from? Let's just keep that in the dark for now.

Okay some interesting development to update.

Got an letter from the congressman today, mailed from his Washington DC office.

Attached is a printout of the email from Congressional Liaison of the NBC.

Basically it stating that since I have a pending N-400 case and a pending ROC, "... the forms I751 and N400 will be adjudicated at the SAME TIME by the local USCIS office..."

That's not the whole story, it also stated that "... however if the field office approves the N400, the applicant is granted with the citizenship while the I-751 will be CLOSED; of the N-400 is denied then the I-751 will be adjudicated accordingly."

Blah blah blah they can't interview me before sometime in the future (LPR + 3-year rule).

Looks like I'm going to get my passport stamped soon here and, hopefully to hear from them soon.

Wonder if this simply due to the fact that I got the congressman involved or USCIS started to do things like this...

That is actually good news, local office can adjudicate ROC much faster than CSC or definitely VSC.

Normally, local offices don't handle ROC cases but If one of Service Centers asks, they do.

I'm sure you can be a citizen in the year of 2012. Maybe you can even vote if you get registered in time .

Here's the irony. My case WAS relocated to the local office back in October and then nothing was heard even after a SR.

This is so weird. The only reason I can think of right now, local office has forgotten your folder or misplaced for some reason.

Congratulations at last Kiwana!!! I have been following your long drawn out process.

Fingers crossed for Steve D, hope you hear something soon!

Just a quick update on my case, last week I received a biometric appointment for my son. Why they couldnt do that last year when I was there goodness knows, but then thats USCIS for you isnt it? I will keep the forum updated with any further developments.

To the others out there still waiting, I am thinking of you all too. Good luck, hopefully we can end this process soon.

Thanks Kiwiana. I thought that we had gone through this process together! I wasn't too sure so I didn't say anything. Yes, we go back a long way the four of us lol. I often wonder how the others that started their journey when we did are doing. I suppose they must be around the same stages as we are.

I have managed to drive the 4 and 1/2 hours round trip for my sons 5 min biometric appointment today. Although it was scheduled for 15th I went in early to try and get this process finished. We will see...

Fingers crossed for everyone that is still waiting .....

Hey guys,i have a quick questions and will appreciate any fitback .OH ,Congratulations first for our recent approved cases.

Hubby and me are getting ready with my citizenship application for next month and i want to know if i can include my under age ( under 18 ) daughter with my application.

When i read the guide it said something about inluding prove of financial support to your depending children who do not live with you with your package.Plus a letter from a relative or whoever stating that they have been looking after my daughter for all these years.

When i read that my interpretation was that i could summit an application for her as well.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Well, a development in my case at last. Today I received a Letter requesting more evidence. They listed in the letter what I provided and stated that it didn't span the whole length of our marriage. I could be very annoyed right now, but I am actually relieved as it means they have looked at our case. I have gathered more evidence tonight and sending overnight to them tomorrow.

Barking mad but I do understand why we go thru this, just a shame it takes soooooo long.
