Hello everyone!

I can't believe it's been 2 years already!!

We'll be filing ours next week (on the 90 day mark!) I have so much stuff to gather before then!

Yesterday when we flew back to the US from Canada the officer asked me if I knew my card was expiring, and said that I should do it asap! I said next week and he told me no, this week! It was kinda funny :P

Looking forward to getting it done and over with! Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone!

My GC expires August 24, and I am just now getting ready to send the package tomorrow or so to CSC. Here are the contents:

• Check in the amount of $590.00 for I-751 filing fee;

• Form I-751 Joint Petition to Remove the Condition on Residence;

• Copy of alien resident card;

• Copy of marriage certificate;

• Copy of conditional resident passport (biographic page only);

• Copy of U.S.C. petitioner’s passport (biographic page only); and

• Index of Supporting documents – proof of a valid marital relationship.

1) Copy of joint lease for residence;

2) Copies of joint U.S. Federal tax return transcripts for 2009 and 2010;

3) Copy of joint automobile insurance;

4) Copy of joint rental insurance;

5) Copy of USC's life insurance showing me as beneficiary;

6) Copy of joint medical and dental insurance;

7) Copies of joint bank statements;

8) Copy of joint credit cards;

9) Copy of affidavit by U.S. citizen friend attesting to validity of marriage;

10) Copy of driver’s licenses showing same residence;

11) Copies of USPS change-of-address forms showing same residence;

12) Copies of joint electric utility bills;

13) Copies of joint internet and cable bills;

14) Copies of airline tickets for travel to several destinations;

15) Copies of photographs of the married couple and with family and friends;

16) Copies of correspondence addressed to the married couple;

17) Copy of employer information sheet showing USC is listed as my husband and emergency contact.

QUESTIONS:

1. I dated the I-751 form May 26, 2011, though I am actually sending the stuff now (mid-June). I'm not going to bother with reprinting/re-signing the forms with a newer date. Or does anyone think I should?

2. Should I send the original affidavit (not a copy) as per the I-751 form instructions? Also, is it okay if I only send one affidavit? I hate bothering people with such requests, and plus I really want to get this package out...

3. I only included 3-4 copies of the utility bills and bank statements, spaced at around 6-12 months apart. That should be enough, correct?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Good luck to you all!

We sent out our package June 7th to CSC and our check was cashed today (it was pending yesterday).

When we get our NOA...is that basically the paper that extends the GC for one year? Would that be the paper to take with you if you traveled? Or is there something that we have to file to get an extension. My husbands GC expires Sept 3...and although we have no plans on traveling anywhere in the near future...I was just curious as to how it works, should it take awhile to get the 10yr GC. Just so we know in advance.

Thanks.

Your packet looks great. However, I wouldn't send it with an advanced date, just an opinion.

Good Luck!

The wait would be unbearable but it'll be worth it. It strengthens the love, it attaches you even more to each other, it shows how your man would do whatever it takes to be with you, that he will never give up on you because he LOVES you!! All the waits, stresses, tears, heartaches, all the miserable feelings you feel along the way will be paid off once you get what you've been hoping for...oh and WITHOUT PRAYERS? will be like trying to start a fire with water, JUST WON'T WORK!
