Hi guys,

got a letter in the mail today from VSC. Its an RFE for marriage of good faith. Its dated 4/11/12. Its really frustrating because we submit our 2010 tax return and photos of our wedding in the US. Can ideas on evidence of a bonafide marriage?

Got our card in the mail the 11th! Thanks for everything guys.

Kevinbui86, we sent pictures of after the wedding, vacations, family reunions, Christmas, hanging out with friends and stuff like that, plus taxes, lease with both our names, bank account with both our names, a bunch of letters with his and my name on them, some bills on his name, some on my name (with the same address), we also sent all the military paperwork that has me as his wife and beneficiary.

I am sorry to hear that... I hope this is not too late or that somebody has hopefully given you advise. Maybe you can add the 2011 tax return (stamped or just get a transcript)... then utility bills under both your names or on one of your names with the same address, bank statements under both your names, lease contract or deed of sale under both your names, car/house/rental insurance under both your names.

I hope everything goes out well.

Hi guys,

got a letter in the mail today from VSC. Its an RFE for marriage of good faith. Its dated 4/11/12. Its really frustrating because we submit our 2010 tax return and photos of our wedding in the US. Can ideas on evidence of a bonafide marriage?

Am sorry to hear that but you will gonna pass it , what i believe they are looking for is 2 major things TAXES and FINANCIAL statements thats what i sent original copies from IRS and the transcripts from the tax agent too where ever you filed your tax with make a copy of each year and send along with the one from IRS , bank statement for joint account ( checking and saving) whatever you have and preferred if its old statement with same bank and send at least one copy of each month make copies of all the accounts statements to show them that the accounts are real and yes we are living normal life and we are using the accounts which we all do but we have to prove it to them and then you can move to some other evidence like car insurance joint lease and any junk mail have your name or your spouse name and address on it with old dates if possible " I did not sent any pics or any friends affidavit " Good Luck

Wow! That sucks to receive that so late in the game. Best of luck for a prompt approval after submitting RFE. th3mo was right about financial co-mingling. Also, joint lease agreements or titles of vehicles, homes, etc. Insurance policies, health insurance policies, work-related beneficiary information.

Okay just an update on my God-knows-what-happened ROC application.

Yesterday was the 60th day where the Service Request letter sent back to me from USCIS promised, and so far? Not, a, single, f*cking thing.

Oh and the 10 month mark is in 2 weeks.

Going to my N-400 Bio this Friday, I'm just going to let them sort this out internally.

Making an InfoPass to get my I-551 by May if I still don't hear anything.

they are asking things like birth certificate of children, lease with both our names, tax returns, joint bank accounts, joint credit card bills, insurance with the spouse as the beneficiary, affidavit of sworn statement from people that knows about our relationship.

Heres my situation. Im only 25 years old and still a student. I do not work and still live with my parents. My mom claim my spouse and I on her 2010 tax return. In the original package, I sent a copy of my mom's tax return with both our names in it as dependents. I also sent them our wedding photos in the US and a copy of the banquet bill. I also sent them pictures of our time together in the US. The RFE states that with the evidence I submitted, it does not show that we enter into a marriage of good faith. Here is what I am planning to submit in the RFE: Bank statement with both our names in it, credit cards with both our names in it. Bills of my spouse and I to show that we live at the same address, my mom's 2011 tax return showing both of us as her dependents, health insurance with both our names on it, a notarized letter from my mom stating that we live together at her house and does not pay rent, a notarized letter from a close friend stating he knows about our relationship since day one with photos to support, and lastly a report from the hospital stating my wife had an ectopic pregnancy in 2011. Do you guys think this is enough evidence? anymore suggestions?

P.S my wife does not have a driver license so there are no auto insurance policy with both our names,

I think your RFE package looks good. Sometimes it's difficult to convence them it's in good faith. Then again depends on the IO/VO.

they are asking things like birth certificate of children, lease with both our names, tax returns, joint bank accounts, joint credit card bills, insurance with the spouse as the beneficiary, affidavit of sworn statement from people that knows about our relationship.

Heres my situation. Im only 25 years old and still a student. I do not work and still live with my parents. My mom claim my spouse and I on her 2010 tax return. In the original package, I sent a copy of my mom's tax return with both our names in it as dependents. I also sent them our wedding photos in the US and a copy of the banquet bill. I also sent them pictures of our time together in the US. The RFE states that with the evidence I submitted, it does not show that we enter into a marriage of good faith. Here is what I am planning to submit in the RFE: Bank statement with both our names in it, credit cards with both our names in it. Bills of my spouse and I to show that we live at the same address, my mom's 2011 tax return showing both of us as her dependents, health insurance with both our names on it, a notarized letter from my mom stating that we live together at her house and does not pay rent, a notarized letter from a close friend stating he knows about our relationship since day one with photos to support, and lastly a report from the hospital stating my wife had an ectopic pregnancy in 2011. Do you guys think this is enough evidence? anymore suggestions?

P.S my wife does not have a driver license so there are no auto insurance policy with both our names,

looks good, does your wife have a state ID or something since she doesn't have a driver's license? do you guys have any costco Sam's club memebership? It might not be a bad idea to write a letter to possibly explaining your situation too that you are a student....but your list look solid though!

Okay just an update on my God-knows-what-happened ROC application.

Yesterday was the 60th day where the Service Request letter sent back to me from USCIS promised, and so far? Not, a, single, f*cking thing.

Oh and the 10 month mark is in 2 weeks.

Going to my N-400 Bio this Friday, I'm just going to let them sort this out internally.

Making an InfoPass to get my I-551 by May if I still don't hear anything.

*sigh*

Thanks for the update. Have been wondering if you heard back from the service request. Let's hope filing for N400 gets them moving!! CSC at the moment is suppose to be a bit "faster" than VSC with approvals but as you and I both know that is not always the case.. It only took them 9 months and two service requests to let me know that i have to go to an interview...which is on Tuesday. Good luck with the bio on Friday.. Keep us updated on the progress!!
