june VSC will break soon. its time. may VSC is at 32% reported approvals. who will the lucky early bird be?

Apparently it will be me! I got a "congratulations" letter in the mail today! My husband handed me the envelope from USCIS, and I said "oh, this can't be good", assuming it was an RFE. But it wasn't, so yay! I didn't get an email or anything, and my status on the USCIS website remains "initial review".

Of course, this isn't fair to anyone else, as I was among the latest of the June VSC filers on our list.

dont feel guilty that you were first. we all know there is no real order within the month for approvals. plus, think of all the CSCers that got approved before you despite much later submissions.

As far as I'm aware, it makes no difference after the Biometrics appointment. If the local office is particularly busy, it will take longer to get an appointment in the first place, and they won't work on your file until the biometrics have been taken. So that may be a factor in wait times, but I can't imagine it making a difference when the service center is so backed up to begin with.

my point was based on some other filers they were saying there card came from the local office ,am just assuming it could be the same but its a good sign anyway for VSC June fellas keep it up almost there ppl :star::dance:

Hello Every one.I have been watching this thread for some time just never posted any thing.I filed in June of 2011.Did my biometrics In July,and never heard any thing until Saturday.I did sign up for email and text updates but nothing came but On Saturday I got a postal mail from USCIS saying Congratulations your application has been approved it came from my local Texas office.To date there has been no changed on my status online which still says under review.I filed at VSC.

I am hoping every one sees approvals soon.Good luck to every one waiting.

Hello Every one.I have been watching this thread for some time just never posted any thing.I filed in June of 2011.Did my biometrics In July,and never heard any thing until Saturday.I did sign up for email and text updates but nothing came but On Saturday I got a postal mail from USCIS saying Congratulations your application has been approved it came from my local Texas office.To date there has been no changed on my status online which still says under review.I filed at VSC.

I am hoping every one sees approvals soon.Good luck to every one waiting.

Congrats to you. I'm so happy that the VSC approvals have started coming in now.

To me, this means that waiting on the 'mail man' everyday begins.

Thanks..I did not get the 10 year green card in hand as yet the letter said it will be mailed with in 60 days. I filed at VSC on June 17th 2011.Did my biometrics on July 11th.So don't worry you time is coming up soon enough good luck to you.

Apparently it will be me! I got a "congratulations" letter in the mail today!

I am so glad for the two people who have already received their wonderful notifications! I am still waiting for mine, but these news make me think that mine is coming soon. I have a concern, that if any of you can give a some advice I would really appreciate it.

I am still waiting for my GC, my old GC is already expired, and I was invited to travel to Honduras in March. I have the NOA with me and I am taking my old green card as well, but will this be enough? I don't want to risk anything. The NOA says that it is valid for 1 year, and as you know, since we filed in June it will almost be one year.

Am I risking it? Let me know if you have any experience with traveling with the NOA close to the expiration date.

Hello there,

Take your expired GC and the NOA that shows the 1 year extension. You'll need both at the port of entry. You don't need anything when you get out of the US.

Make sure you save an e-copy of your NOA. Scan it, make a pdf file or a simple image. Just in case, you never know. I went back to my Country for a week the past september and it's all you need.
