Anyone travel with only their GC and NOA?

My wife was questioned by the Airlines while leaving US that she needed the stamp in the passport or NOA notice, but when we call USCIS they say she only needs NOA and the GC...

Anyone else have any recent experience traveling? Just little nervous here.

My husband and I just got back from Italy on Tuesday and we made it out and back into the country with his "expired" greencard lol. We travelled with his NOA, greencard and his Italian passport. We flew out of JFK in NYC and they checked his passport and NOA at checkin. He only needed to show his passport when we landed in Italy. When we returned, we flew back into JFK and got in the customs line for US Citizens and permanent residents. When we got to the booth they looked at both is NOA, greencard, and passport. He had to have his fingerprints and photo taken at the customs booth, but it seemed pretty normal, not like they singled him out or anything. We really didn't have any problems at all and I think that if we can survive travelling through JFK with our NOA then anyone can lol! Just to be on the safe side we scanned our NOA and emailed it to ourselves in case we lost it we had a copy, but don't worry you should be fine! Hope you have a great trip!

Just got back from Europe a few weeks back with no issues! Just make sure you have a photocopy with someone in the US, and bring one with you as well!

Have no fear, I've travelled internationally twice since my gc expired in July. Just make sure you bring your extension letter and copies (not that I used my copies) You'll be fine (:

Hi All,

I contacted USCIS customer service since it has been past 6 months. The rep said they are currently processing application of date Feb 28. So they are quite behind in processing, about 29 days after the normal processing time is what the rep mentioned.

am in the same boat but its not waste of money because without the renewal you will not be able to work on your citizenship right, i know what you mean but that`s how it works , and remember those days when we been waiting for approval from uscis and the long ride we had and we still have, the waiting game still on at least till we get our condition removed and then its up to you if you wanna go for another ride for the citizenship or not and believe me you are not alone we all feel the same way just another lesson to learn how to be patient ,Good luck for all of us

noa received 6/7/11, early bio 4th july, instead of 25th july still havnt heard anything as yet, any cause for concern do you think or am i just panicking as usual???
