(CBS) MERRILLVILLE The owner of the Aladdin Pita restaurant off U.S.

Route 30 in Merrillville, Ind. was found shot to death Saturday

morning inside of his restaurant.

Naseeb Mohammed was found fatally shot at the Aladdin Pita restaurant

located at 3750 W. 80th Lane in Merrillville.

I went to school in the next town over for two years of college. Aladdin Pita was one of my first introduction to ME/NA culture and food. Growing up in a farm town in Central Wisconsin didn't offer much in the ways of ethnic diversity, so it was a pleasant suprise when I went to uni in another farm town and found muslims *grin* Post 9/11, we had a lot of interfaith events at school, and Aladdin Pita always catered these events. I have a lot of fond memories of the restaurant and it's owner.

:crying:

The picture in my avatar was taken at Aladdin Pita. He will be missed by many.

Jackie

If you are still in the area, please offer my condolences to the family. They probably don't remember me, but let them know that an old valpo student has many fond memories of him and their restuarant.

edited to add sorry, this is rahma. i guess my husband left himself logged in.

I'm wondering why they're saying that the evidence points towards a robbery when they also say that no valuables were taken.

My condolences to those who knew the victim. (F)
