IMBRA Shock

Having read Matt's post about "IMBRA thing", I too understand finally

what it was.

Now I'm afraid the I-129F form we've sent to NVC was the old one.

I printed it out to fill in my name in the native alphabet instead of

my fiance and I remember the form didn't include the question about

the marriage broker.

I'm sure that we'll receive an IMBRA RFE and I want to ask you guys

what should we prepare for it? Only the new I-129F form assuming

there is no other RFE?

We've waited for more than 2 months since we received our NOA1 on

June 28 and it was a waste of time? Should we wait till they will notify

us? I feel like I'm crying.

Your case will be at CSC and they are a bit slow, you should just wait for the IMBRA RFE to arrive, I would suspect 1-2 more months for that to happen, CSC has been proccesing petitions that were submited in May and June lately.

Why wait? If they want to send you the RFE to get the additional questions answered they will. But why not try something else.

Here is what I did. I was caught in the original IMBRA stuff. My application like everyone's else here was put on hold. During that hold period, I found a copy of the new form that was not even official yet, but I didn't care. I completed the new form, sent it in and asked them to add it to my file. I still received the RFE that everyone else got. When I completed it and sent it back I was one of the first to get approved. Was this because of my extra step? Was I just a lucky one? I don't know, but I think you should give it a try.

If you complete a copy of the new form, send it in and reference it to your case number, maybe they will put it with your file and not have to send you the RFE for the IMBRA information. Or perhaps they will send you the IMBRA RFE anyway. In that case, you still haven't lost anything except a 39¢ stamp.

The only thing that you can really do at this point is read over the new form, familiarize yourself with the 3 or 4 new questions, and then on the day that you receive the RFE in the mail just fill it out and send it back the same day.

And by the way ..... I submitted the new form, with the questions already imbedded, and I haven't heard anything in the last two months since my NOA1, ethier .....

I think the extra action Danny&Adri suggested isn't bad. I'll print out two

copies of the new form, fill in my name and send them to my fiance, one is

to be sent now and one is when they will notify us the RFE. But before that,

I have to catch my fiance in the U. S.

Waiting not knowing when it will arrive is so hard. Wanthimhere, I hope your

NOA2 will arrive soon. It seems they are rollin' now, doen't it?
