ShanSHAN chiming in here! I have a question!!!!

I have been trying to calculate and "guess-itmate" my interview month. I am currently waiting on a CC from NVC. I have "guess-timated" somewhere around July 20th for the case to be complete. If its true that NVC assigns interview dates in the second week of the month, for the following month, then that means we would get an September interview!?????????? Someone please say it aint so! Cos I have been on the midnight train to August! And I don't wanna stay on until Septemeber....I wanna get off in August!

Don't worry! The bit about only scheduling during the second week for the next week is a complete LIE!!! If you want proof, go no further than checking my signature. I was scheduled during the FOURTH week. They do in fact schedule all month long, even though the operators read from a script saying they only schedule during the second week.

@shanSHAN: Well, it's not true that NVC only schedules during the second week of the month. As to the speed to which you get your interview date - that's best guesstimated by looking at others who have gone through your particular embassy recently. Look at your country portal, that will give you the information you need to better figure when you might get an appointment. :)

ETA to make clear who I was responding to.

Okay, thanks! Because of you and Saylin......I'm still on that August train with hopes of hopping off next month. If not.......the next stop @ Septemeber will do! Thanks again!!

NVC has been putting out that story since we went through in 2009. As you can see from my signature my experience was the same as Saylin's. Good luck! :)

yeah i am getting the same song and dance  call back thursday , call back monday , call back next week, monday or tuesday..the guy told me it hadn't been 15 days , hello i can count.. :bonk: im getting frustrated with them too , after waiting 7 months for I-130 approved i couldn't wait to be at nvc now they're keeping me from seeing my husband , coz when i sent paper work i was going..:(

I called the NVC this morning and declared myself at 15 days though technically it is the morning of the 14th day.. It is so hard to yell at them, they are so much nicer than USCIS and honestly seem to want to help... Anyway I declared it had been 15 days and the person just sighed and said "yeah OK" and asked me to email a scanned image of my approval notice. I actually had mailed it in last Friday morning to see what would happen - which at this point is nothing beyond the auto-response. The fresh email included that I was asked to mail it in by the NVC operator.. I really really would like to at least get my DS-3032 emailed in this week. Hope springs eternal!

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect
