Hello Everyone,

Today I received an email that said,

"On May 31, 2011, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

I wonder what will they ask for...

Has this happened to anyone???????? If this has happened to anyone, after you sent whatever they are asking for..how long does it take to get Noa2??

Anyone with any comments or suggetions.....

This is "Minor" on a 129-F Petition in almost all cases.

The Information to process the Forms were incomplete for your NOA1.

You will have to wait and see what USCIS requires that you left out in your Petition.

Generally, this is what happened.. You forgot to sign something, left out this or that.

Don't be upset. Yes, happens all the time

Calm down, breathe deep.

Its ok.

Alot of people get RFE, could be missing or incomplete form. Could be you used blue ink instead of black. Maybe you didnt sign and date something.

In about a week you will your RFE, look it over, correct it, and send the information they are looking for along with a photo copy of the RFE. They usualy give you 30 days to respond, but the nice thing, is that they will tell you that in 60 days they will have made their decision.

Is blue ink really taboo for the I-129F petition? I don't remember reading this, and I don't remember what colored I used - and of course the photo copies show up black.

Well don't I feel silly now

I would expect an immediate RFE upon acceptance for this type of mistake though as it would seem so obvious. Nothing yet so hopfully nothing later!

Just take a deep breath and relax

You should have a copy of the I-129F application that was sent in. Take the time and go over each line. Look at all the required documentation you sent and compare to what is needed from the instructions. Think... What did we miss or not sign or not fill in....

It can be as minor as a simple fill in the blank..... .... all depends on the case. Once you receive your letter, just address the requirement and get it back in ASAP. Sometimes the delay is as little as 2 weeks, I have seen others go a little longer. Typically they will say they will review and get an answer back to you in 60 days. Don't freak out about that response. Rarely do they go that long.

Good luck and I am sure you will be fine.

Happy New Year! It is 2012!

The original posting regarding RFE (Request for Evidence) from kikibruno, was posted on 31 May 2011 .

You really have to look at the dates when reading information on this site. It can get a little confusing.

I wish this site could find a way to back-log the older postings. Just saying....
