For everyone between NOA2 and interview in London

Hi

I have been wondering if you can have your medical before you get your NVC case number? I am hoping that our NOA2 will come through in the next couple of weeks. I am due to go back to the states with my fiance on the 20th July under the VWP and am wondering whether I would be able to book my medical for before this date? Or if its possible to have it carried out in the states? I am figuring that way if I prepare my packet 3 documents before I go I would be able to just come back in time for my interview. Does this sound feasible?! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You must have a case number and your police certificate in order to make your medical appointment. Unfortunately there is no way around it as Knightsbridge wont make you an appointment without that case number. beckys04, I just noticed you are new to the Visa Journey website so Welcome! I thought more about your question and have a few for you that can help us all help you more. You don't have a timeline set up so first up is when did you get your NOA1? Also did you guys sign up for the electronic notification? Once you are approved you will get and email, and the US Petitioner will get a letter. Once you get your approval you will get your case number and then you can call and schedule your appointment for a date just after you intend to return? As soon as you know your medical date AND you know for certain your case has been received by the London Embassy you can send in packet 3. Only reason I say this is because if the Embassy gets your packet 3 before they have your case it can cause all sorts of problems. Hope this helps a little more

little_g how long was it before the embassy rescheduled your interview? I got my date last thursday (8th aug) and its a lot later than I wanted so I called them and they gave me the email code. I emailed them a really polite request yesterday morning but expect I wont hear anything from them for a while because of the 4th july long weekend.

I called and then emailed them early in the day and then by the next afternoon we heard back via an email reply. I think with the holiday weekend they were probably short staffed yesterday cause many people like to take extra days off. I'm guessing you will most likely hear back on Tuesday

I see you have a similar appointment date to mine ( August 5th ). I emailed the special email code also before the weekend, so I too hope to hear something a little earlier as I really want to be there for the beginning of August.

This makes me sad.

However, I find it amusing that the embassy employees will spend tomorrow celebrating independence from Britian day and yet they all live in the UK.

I sent my Packet 3 back in today. And also had my medical last week.

I have a slight concern though that i put on my cover note that my wedding is gonna be aug 12th. Basically i did this because Ashley is visiting me in england on the 11th for 2 weeks and we;re travelling a bit of europe so ill need my passport!!! so i bumped it up by a month hoping to have it before then, but now im worried im not going to recieve her tax return and i134..... shes still waiting for the transcript.

So if i do get an early interview, i may just go along with a transcript, and her paystubs... (she earns $30000 a month)

I am very worried you wont get your interview in time to get your passport back for your traveling. It took well over 2 weeks (after being signed for) to be logged and an interview date given. But maybe if you get your date you can request to bump it to after your travels? Don't forget that after the interview it can take anywhere from 5 to 10 days to get your visa/passport back too. I'll keep fingers crossed for you keep us posted. Also just FYI, It took 10 days to get my tax transcripts in the mail. I then sent them via USPS Priority Express and it got there in 5 days. I sent them on a Monday and he got them that Friday.

Firstly.. WOWWW... $30,000 PER MONTH??? That is some good money

I too am worried though you wont have your interview by then, or even if you do, you may be waiting to get your passport back. They will try to accommodate peoples requests however summer is very busy for the embassy so you may find your interview to be later than you are hoping for it to be. When did she request the transcript? We recently requested some and they took 2 weeks to get back to hubby. Just keep your fingers crossed hehe.

The original signed I-134 is what's important and needs to get sent today folks. The tax return isn't even required for an I-134 in London. And it can be scanned and emailed later after it arrives. I've been through 3 processes using tax transcripts (K1, AOS, and Removing Conditions) and never used more than a photocopy.

My fiance has had very high blood pressure every time he went to the Dr and it was high when he went for his physical in London, They were very cooperative and gave him a form for his Doctor to fill out concerning this, although it was a hold it, They worked with him on it.

Today he found out that the results of his 24 hour blood pressure moniter ( which he done on his own request ) was good, So the Dr is going to fill out the paper the London Medical wanted.

He does still have to get 1 MMR booster but weve been told as soon as they recieve the form they gave him they will send the results to the Embassy, so were still not there quite yet.

This has been a very long process for us but were almost there.

I was wondering if someone could tell me, how long it might take for an interview after the embassy recieves the medical report.

They have had his packet at the Embassy for months while this blood pressure problem was sorted.

He was already approved and we have the NOA2 etc.

It could be between a couple of days and two weeks from the day the embassy receives the results to you getting your interview letter in the mail.
