Yeah, I have my police certificate, one was sent to the NVC and I have one extra which I believe now has to be take to the medical.

It was my understanding that you could not schedule a medical until you have the appointment letter in hand?

If you have the LND number you can schedule a medical appointment. Also advisable that they have your packet 3. They wont schedule an embassy appointment without your medical results and packet 3 obviously.

Forms don't really expire, but are sometimes relaced when needed. That date shows when the form must be review by the Office of Management and Budget (hence OMB date) for the Paperwork Reduction Act.

Visa has arrived! 3 working days after the interview and it got here at 9am, pretty good considering I only paid for the standard delivery. Hooray!

Okay, I dont know if im being really dumb here.

This is where I thought I was:

NVC received AOS and IV packets today. They will take around 2 weeks to process them and then forward to London.

I DONT book medical until I get the interview date.

I dont actually have anything else to send in at this point,I just need to get everything prepped and ready for the interview...

I really dont know what Packet 3 is...

sorry if im being thick here. Am i totally off the mark?

Ya'll are talking two languages here---CR1 and K1.

NVC schedules the CR1 interview. London schedules the K1 interview, but only after the medical results are received. I don't know enough about the NVC process details to comment on your medical. I know Knightsbridge want to know your LND number (which everybody gets assigned by NVC) before they will make your appointment. Have you got an LND number, Amy? Have you been to your doctor and gotten MMR, one of the Tdap/Td/DTP versions, and a flu shot?

Haha id forgotten how confusing this all is!

Ive already had MMR and DTP for my year abroad in America so im up to date there. Need flu shot (just found out they now ask for this!) but ill get that next week.

Ill give Knightsbridge a ring tomorrow and see if they'll let me schedule it - i guess that will clear it up! I dont know why I thought you had to have an appointment first, I may be completely wrong. I did so much research back when we started I must have got muddled!
