Jock's was trackable at around 4pm UK time the next day. But he did say he has noticed if the interview is early in the week it looks like they get it Thursday and middle of the week interviewers get it Friday like he did. Maybe they ship them all at once? Or maybe the rumors are true that there are Visa production days? Cant remember where I read that though :wacko:

Forms don't really expire, but are sometimes relaced when needed. That date shows when the form must be review by the Office of Management and Budget (hence OMB date) for the Paperwork Reduction Act.

Visa has arrived! 3 working days after the interview and it got here at 9am, pretty good considering I only paid for the standard delivery. Hooray!

I don't know. They told him he should be able to track it today but he said it wasn't in there yet. Beats me?

Mine was trackable on the day it was delivered, not before.

IR-1 Timeline (DCF London)

15th Feb 2011 - Filed I-130 in London.

6th Apr 2011 - Sent letter requesting expedition of visa.

11th Apr 2011 - Received email approving request.

12th May 2011 - I-130 approved.

2nd June 2011 - Received case number via email. Booked medical.

3rd June 2011 - Sent forms DS-230, DS-2001 & cover letter today.

8th June 2011 - Medical Exam (£273.00 for medical & MMR/Tetanus injection)

11th July 2011 - Visa interview at 8am.

14th July 2011 - Visa in hand.

23rd July 2011 - Uniting my family today in San Antonio <3

11th Aug 2011 - Received 10yr Green Card in the mail

22nd Aug 2011 - Received SSN

Jock never got the text and he did give his mobile number. I just kept checking with his tracking number and post code till *BING* it showed up saying that we would expect delivery on 7/15.

I wish they hadn't planted that seed of "5 days" in my poor fiance's ear. I was totally prepared for 10, got my hopes up when they said 5, and not i'm terrified of AP but I know there's no reason to be. Wonder if any other Monday folks got there's yet?

I'm so anxious lol :)

Well I leave tomorrow for London and have my interview at 9AM on monday..... soo nervous but so excited too!!

Take a book - I was there for 3 hours and there's no TV or anything.

Do keep your eyes and ears open though - while I was there two 'I' numbers were called multiple times over the loud speaker system, including one having a 'final call' - why you would chance missing the interview itself I don't know!

Well, my interview was on Friday and it was approved! :dance: Rather a surreal feeling after all this waiting. I will leave a review soon but all in all everything was fine. The exciting bit is the queueing and going through security, past the guards with guns etc., but once you're inside it really is just like any council office in the country: it's just an admin base.

From queueing to back to my hotel it only took an hour and a half! I was expecting several hours. Both interviewers/officers I spoke to were very nice and I had laugh with each of them. They really only asked when we met and what Chris does for a living. Also, I would say that I stayed in the Lincoln House Hotel, less than 10 mins walk away, and thought it was great: spotlessly clean, comfortable and everything you'd need. Plus, they held my bag for the rest of the day and you can get a discount by paying in cash. Might be useful for some people to know!

All in all, a great experience :)
