So, for those who've just had interviews, what's the latest on the embassy - what did you take in with you?

Did you have your paperwork in a backpack, carrier bag, anything like that?

I know that phones and other electronic equipment aren't allowed, but a backpack would be useful to have with me smile.gif

Congrats to all - based on your timescales, assuming I get approved on Monday, my passport should be back with the visa in it before I am! Eek, I have to sign for it, don't I! #######! I'm away with work from Tuesday to Saturday afternoon..

Jock took the large USPS Priority Mail envelope that I sent my docs to him in stuffed full of what he needed for the interview and a pen. He left his phone at Gould's for 3 quid. You CAN bring a rucksack and they just send it through the x-ray scanner but he left his at LeftLuggage in Euston Station cause it had his clothes, laptop etc in it so it was just bulk that wasn't really needed to carry around.

Just be sure you bring in NOTHING electrical, he said he saw someone who had to bin a calculator they had in their bag. FOBS are a no no too so I heard. Read our review here Jock left some good tips on getting in faster through security.

In regards to not being there for the Visa delivery, you'll get a tracking number from DX Secure and there is an option to change your delivery date on the website so that shouldn't be a problem either :)

GOOD LUCK at your interview btw, let us know how it goes :star:

Did you ever watch the video showing the interview process?? There's a link on that main K1 instruction page. (I keeping harping on clicking all the links, but there's good stuff to be found)

So watch the video and look at what people are carrying. http://www.youtube.com/user/USEmbassyLondon#p/u/11/uzZOvF1EEXE

Your interview day will be exactly like that except for those sample questions they show won't be asked of you.

Haha...well in short, FI said there wasn't much to say because it was over and done so quick! Two things that tripped him up was his electronic key-chain pushing him to the back of the line (he had to go drop it off) and apparently you just gotta hold it cause if you go to the bathroom you risk missing your number lol

other than that, smooth sailing!! :)

they asked two questions:

how did you meet?

how/when did you meet in person?

happy and smiley the whole way he says :)

Congrats, go and live happy.

woohoo! thanks!
