hi there!

maybe somebody has experience in that?

We, as a little league team, would like to support our friend team from Russia in obtaining US visas for visiting us in USA.

Team consists of 17 kids (9-11 yo - they do not need interview, right?) and 4 adults.

The invitation text is not really clear.

Russian kids will be hosted by american families over here but we do not know YET what exact addresses are.

Visas they gonna obtain will be B1/B2, right? Not that special exchange one - so far it works only with student who will study here. Our kids will just play the ball (= pure leisure).

What should be write in invitation?

My timeline is current and updated

Sounds like an expensive trip.

Just write them a letter that they can show to the Consulate outlining the invitation and itinerary.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Send them an official invitation, preferably from the baseball club association or a local baseball club/little league at the city where they will stay most of the time. Use the organization's letterhead. If the club is not incorporated, still, you'd need to write a FORMAL invitation, signed by the president of the club or the chair of your community group, whatever it is, stating the name of the group and the position of the person signing the invitation. At this point, you can provide the address of the club as the address where the kids would be staying.

In the letter, you'll need to very clearly state:

- full names of all kids and their accompanying parents, with dates of birth (to avoid namesakes) and PASSPORT numbers. This should be a list, hence one invitation for the whole group

- type of visa you are requesting

- dates and itinerary of travel

- purpose of travel

- WHO IS COVERING ALL THE EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE TRIP (international travel, domestic travel, lodging, meals, visa procurement, competition fees, per diem, whatnot) - this is VERY important.

- for lodging, you can write "Such and such club will cover all lodging arrangements and costs". That is usually enough to ensure your address can be used on the visa application forms

- complete contact information for the person representing the inviting organization

I hope this helps!
